How you can listen to WSUM over the web
WSUM is now broadcasting in two formats: Real Audio G2 and ShoutCAST. We recommend using ShoutCAST for its higher sound quality. Some users, particularly those with slower (28.8 modem) connections may find that WinAMP skips during play. If this happens, try using Real Audio.

Requirements:
      • A connection to the internet with a speed of at least 28.8 kbps
      • Real Audio Player G2 OR Winamp
      • A sound card

Installing The Software:
If you do not have Winamp or Real Player G2, you can download them here:

If you are on the University Of Wisconsin's Network:
      • Real Player G2
      • WinAMP

      If you are not:
      • Real Player G2
      • WinAMP

Tuning in:
To tune in to our real audio broadcast, simply click this link. This will automatically open Real Player and start the broadcast.

To listen to the ShoutCAST stream, you can do one of two things. The first is to download this file and save it on your desktop. Double clicking it will start WinAMP, which will start playing our broadcast. The second method is to open WinAMP, type "CTRL-L", and then enter "wsum.wisc.edu:8000" in the text box.
